Using Botox Injections For Pain
Some doctors have tried using Botox injections for pain management, especially for back and neck pain, as well as migraine headaches. For example, one study by the Botox Migraine Clinical Research Group in conjunction with the Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine and the Houston Headache Clinic, investigated the use of Botox to mitigate migraine headache pain. The study found fewer days using abortive/rescue medications, fewer migraine headaches per month, and fewer episodes of vomiting related to the headaches. The future of using Botox injections for pain seems promising.
