A Diet for IBS Patients
Irritable Bowel Diet can be best described as a diet that is monitored by an IBS patient that wards against foods that trigger IBS symptoms. For most irritable bowel patients, foods that are high in caffeine, and high in fat are the biggest contributors to uncomfortable symptoms. Also, the lack of fiber in a diet can also be key to triggering those numerous bathroom breaks. But if all of these keys are kept in check, someone with IBS shouldn’t have to deal with a disruption. Even small amounts of fat and caffeine may be ok for an average IBS patient. Most likely it is the excess of these foods that cause flare-ups.
