Attack of the Wild, Invisible Pain Monster
It seems to happen when you least expect it. You’ve been watching TV and you get up to get a snack or answer the phone. BAM! It happens. You experience another attack of the wild, invisible pain monster. I’m talking, of course, about peripheral neuropathy. It can come around suddenly or it can linger and cause you agony for lengthy periods of time. You learn to expect it so when it does clobber you suddenly, you don’t react so explicitly. It hurts like hell and you never get used to it but you do learn to live with it. Maybe there’s an answer out there? Maybe.
