A recent study showed that obesity is associated to deaths which were caused by cancer of the prostate. Although the findings are inconsistent, some doctors believe that somehow prostate cancer and obesity are linked. This may or may not be true. Perhaps there are other factors which have contributed to the person’s being overweight. Still, one study shows that men who were overweight were more likely to die from prostate cancer than men who were not overweight. What it does not show is that prostate cancer death and obesity are directly linked. If there is a link, prostate cancer is only one of the conditions related to obesity that is cause for concern.
