Study Shows Acid Reflux Disease Not Affected By Certain Foods
For many, many years society has been told that certain foods will aggravate the condition of acid reflux disease. A study completed by some researchers at Stanford University has shown that foods or beverages that are spicy, acidic, or contain caffeine do not cause or trigger the symtoms of acid reflux disease. The study, in fact, states that what you eat is much less important than the amount of food that you eat. Stick with smaller portions and meals. Eating too much at one time can bring on the symptoms of acid reflux. Also, to help you avoid acid reflux symptoms, try sleeping with your head elevated.
