Measuring HDL and LDL Cholesterol
Cholesterol triglyceride level will give a picture of person’s lipid profile. A lipid profile analysis involves a blood test to measure the amounts of HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. This in turn will indicate whether a person has any risk of heart stroke.
In deed a high ratio of triglyceride to HDL cholesterol ratio is a better indicator for coronary artery disease and or heart attack. Better diet adjustments and regular exercise can bring down the ratio by lowering the triglyceride level. In case even after diet adjustments and exercise if the ratio has not come down, prescription medications can be taken. Cut down your cholestrol triglyceride level and live longer.
