How do you know if the nutrition information on the back of the food you purchase is accurate?

I recently bought some groceries, and i bought some muscle milk protein for my son, and i looked at the nutrition information and it said it had 32 grams of protein per 2 cups, is just a estimation or a accurate amount of grams of protein per 2 cups?

    Legally the company must provide the most accurate information to the public ~ Consumer societies can check it out for you.

    It is required, by the government, that the manufactures are truthful when calculating the calories,sugar, etc. So when they are found out they will go to jail.

    They are legally required to show nutrition information, though I’m not sure how well that’s enforced. That is why it’s good to buy from reputable sources.

    32 grams from two scoops isn’t unreasonable, if that’s a concern at all.
