There are a number of different types of tatoo removal options. One type is laser removal, which uses a laser beam to break up the particles in the ink. Another example is excision where the tattoo is actually sliced off the body, and the skin sewn back together. There is also a procedure where the skin is frozen and the tattoo slowly scraped off. Yet another option is dermabrasion. This procedure uses a small tool that looks like a miniature sand belt that sloughs off the layers of skin.
